Queering the Compass: Pathways to 2S/LGBTQIA+ Sexual & Reproductive Health

The online learning series currently consists of four asynchronous modules that address gaps in health services and empower providers to offer more inclusive care. They are:

• Confronting Ableism, Stigma, and Bias in Sexual and Reproductive Health Care
• Intersectional Affirming Care
• Weaving the Threads of Inclusive Care for 2S/LGBTQIA+ people
• Abortion is Queer Reproductive Justice

Self-Paced Asynchronous Learning Modules

The CQMSA 2SLGBTQ+ Education Program is designed by medical students, for medical students, as a primer for those who wish to expand their knowledge on 2SLGBTQ+ health care. The entire program is completely asynchronous and self-paced. Each module contains a set of learning objectives, various resources they recommend for achieving these objectives, an exercise or activity, and a self-quiz of either 10-20 multiple choice questions or a reflection exercise. Modules include: General 2SLGBTQ+ Knowledge, Bias and Advocacy, Queer Health Care Needs, and Key Skills.

EDI, Indigenous Health and Cultural Safety Training

This series features an interactive educational experience enhanced with authentic patient cases, storytelling, and a pharmacy-specific take on the evolving care standards for diverse patient populations. You will learn how historical and structural factors influence determinants of health for equity-deserving populations, the role of pharmacy practice and pharmacy professionals in systemic reform and health justice, strategies for inclusive and culturally competent pharmacy practice, and person-centred, trauma-informed and culturally safe care.

Primary Care Skills Development Series for Pharmacists

An evolution of pharmacy practice requires an innovative approach to learning. Navigate your emerging role in primary care with five peer-reviewed modules designed to build your confidence with real-life scenarios using a patient-centred model of care. Moving away from traditional online learning, the modules feature an innovative, interactive educational experience using authentic patient cases.

Gender-Affirming Sexual Health Care

This course is a primer for supporting gender diverse clients with concerns related to their sexual health and wellbeing. Transgender, Two-Spirit and non-binary people may have sexual health care needs providers are unfamiliar with, such as changes to sexual function, desire, or sexual response cycles as a result of gender-affirming medical or surgical interventions. This course focuses on integrating key relational practices with gender-affirming care considerations relevant to sexual health.

Gender-Affirming Infant Feeding

This course explores the role that socio-ecological factors play in trans, Two-Spirit and non-binary families’ infant feeding decisions. It invites learners to use a flowchart to identify relevant infant feeding options and presents a roadmap framework as a practical approach to having informed infant feeding discussions.

HIV Prevention

Throughout this course, participants will learn about the biology of HIV transmission, how social and structural factors influence HIV risk, and what highly effective HIV prevention strategies exist today, including the effect of HIV treatment and an undetectable viral load as a highly effective HIV prevention strategy.

HIV Treatment

Throughout this course, participants learn how HIV treatment works in the body, what being on HIV treatment means, how HIV develops drug resistance and how to support clients with adherence.

Uncovering Disabled Desire: Chronic Pain, Disability, and Disabled Sexuality

Starting October 20th, 2026.

Disabled people and people living with chronic pain are often excluded from conversations about sex and sexuality—in healthcare, education, research, and even within social movements.

This workshop invites participants to explore how ableism and structural stigma shape experiences of disability and sexuality. Focusing on physical and invisible disabilities, Jenise draws on clinical and research expertise to share current evidence, case examples, and reflection activities that encourage sexual health providers to reimagine erotic possibility for disabled bodies.

Beyond the Basics: An Advanced Workshop about Sexual Health, Substance Use, STBBIs and Stigma

This workshop is for service providers that are currently working in the areas of substance use, sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBI), or sexuality/sexual health. In this training, participants will deepen their understanding of the impacts of stigma at an organizational and systemic level.

Challenging organizational stigma: Providing Safer and More Inclusive Sexual Health, Harm Reduction and STBBI-Related Services

This workshop is for all individuals working in organizations that provide sexual health, harm reduction, and/or STBBI related care. Participants will critically analyze the policies, practices, and culture of their own organizations, assessing the strengths and challenges in providing safer and more respectful services.

Practicing with PRIDE: Strategies to improve 2SLGBTQI+ health

This course can be utilized by all pharmacy professionals to improve care for 2SLGBTQI+ people in pharmacy practice. Once completed, you will be able to describe health disparities that exist in the 2SLGBTQI+ population, outline how stigma and discrimination can lead to avoidance of care, and list at least five actionable strategies to improve care for 2SLGBTQI+ people in pharmacy practice.

Medication Abortion and Contraception

Medication abortion and hormonal contraception are core components of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) care. As highly accessible and trusted health care professionals, pharmacists support patients’ SRH needs on a daily basis by providing evidence-based medication management, counselling, and follow-up care. This webinar will provide community pharmacists with a comprehensive overview of medication abortion and hormonal contraception and will outline knowledge and practical considerations required to safely, ethically and effectively deliver these services within their scope of practice.
